Aantar faris alsahra, is a 1974 Egyptian movie, directed by Mohamed Salman, and starring Samira Tawfik, Mahmoud Saeed. Nader Nour Alddin.
Aantar Faris Al-Sahra is an Arabic epic drama inspired by the legendary tale of Antara ibn Shaddad, the celebrated pre-Islamic warrior-poet and his enduring love for his cousin Abla. Despite his tribe's acknowledgment of his exceptional valor, Antara is denied full recognition as a freeborn member of his people because he is the son of a Black enslaved woman. His father Shaddad is torn between the pull of paternal love and the rigid traditions that prevent him from publicly claiming his son. The only path forward offered to Antara is an impossible one: deliver fifty camels from the herds of King Numan as Abla's dowry. The film is a sweeping human epic about honor, identity, and the price of belonging.
