Al-Omr Lahza (Life is a Moment) is an Egyptian historical drama series set in the painful aftermath of the June 1967 defeat. Journalist Naamat finds herself at odds with her husband Abdelkader, the editor of their newspaper, over his despairing view of the war with Israel and the country's future. Seeking purpose and action, she volunteers at a hospital where she forms deep human bonds with soldiers recovering from the front — including an emotional connection with officer Mahmoud, a man struggling with his own personal difficulties. Naamat even travels to the front lines to listen, comfort, and support. A richly human wartime drama that captures Egypt's spirit in one of its darkest hours.
