An Egyptian director and producer, he was born in Gharbia Governorate in 1939. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1962 before obtaining a BA from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1964. He began his career by working on television, presenting a number of documentaries, before presenting two short feature films entitled “The Butterfly” and “Chained Backwards,” which won admiration and appreciation from critics, which gave him the opportunity to present various cinematic films such as “The Barrier” in 1969, “The Innocents” in 1971, and “Me, My Daughter, and Love” in 1972. After the victory of October 1973, Radi began a new step in his career concerned with history and presenting different stories about the war. He presented Sons of Silence in 1974 and Life in a Moment in 1978, in addition to Behind the Sun, which revolves around political prisons through the 1967 era, and finally his film “The Wall of Heroes,” which he finished directing in 1999 but remained in the drawers for more than 12 years. In 1985, he directed the film “Humans and Jinns” starring Adel Imam, in which he presented a new experience in an Egyptian horror film. His last work was the comedy television series in 2001.
