Abu halmos, is a 1947 Egyptian movie, directed by Ibrahim Helmi, and starring Naguib ElRihani, Zouzou Chakib, Abbas Fares. with a runtime of 100 minutes.
Abu Halmos is an Egyptian comedy film that follows the mild-mannered accountant Shehata, who works in a bird shop and lands a new position managing endowment properties. The plot takes a farcical turn when a dancer abandons a child named Helmous, claiming he is the son of the endowment overseer's son. The boy becomes a mystery — no confirmed mother, no acknowledged father — and the overseer's daughter seizes the opportunity, claiming that Shehata himself fathered the child with her. What follows is a cascading series of comic misunderstandings and social entanglements as the truth behind Helmous's origins proves elusive and everyone scrambles to claim or deny responsibility.
