An Egyptian actor, whose name is (Mohamed Kamal Al-Masry), and he was known as (Sharafantah), as he chose this name for himself through one of the characters he portrayed in one of the plays. He was born in an alley off Muhammad Ali Street in 1886. He showed talent for acting at a young age. He joined Salama Hegazy’s troupe, where he was always interested in imitating him. Then he worked in Sayed Darwish’s troupe, and with Najib Al-Rihani, and he embodied the comedic characters of the small, cunning man, who has a distinguished, stingy voice, and he succeeded. In this regard, he has a very good degree. Among his plays are: (The Kingdom of Love, The Lucky One for a Kiss, Ah Min Niswan, Yasmina, and The Morning Star), and he also participated in more than forty films, including: (Fatima, Abu Halmous, His Excellency Kashkish Bey, Afrita Ismail Yassin). He died in 1966.
