Overview
Date with the Beloved is an Egyptian romantic comedy following Ahmed, an office worker who gets into a heated argument with Nahid — completely unaware that she is the daughter of Mr. Shawkat, his company's executive director. When fate brings the two together unexpectedly in Alexandria, Nahid sees her chance for payback: she disguises herself as a peasant and devises a scheme to teach Ahmed an unforgettable lesson. What starts as a battle of wills gradually evolves into something more complex as two very different personalities, who began by clashing, find themselves drawn into unexpected feelings. The film is a playful, well-paced romantic comedy built on mistaken identity and social comedy.
