Egyptian actor, born in 1903. His father worked as a lawyer, so he instilled in all his children a love of reading and the Arabic language. His artistic beginning was in 1926 in the theater with the play (Ali Baba) with Bishara Wakim. Four years later, he headed to cinema with his first film (Zeinab) with Zaki Rustom, then the film (Amr and Jamila) in 1937. From that time until the early eighties, he participated in dozens of works between cinema and television. Perhaps his father’s rural origins, which go back to the villages in the Beheira Governorate, helped him present the rural style with distinction. Among his most prominent works is (Bayoumi). Effendi, Mouths and Rabbits, Soft Hands), passed away in 1987.
