Overview
Shahira is an Egyptian historical drama centred on a bold theatre troupe owner who stages politically charged plays at a time when such daring carries real risk. Shahira maintains an intimate relationship with the powerful Fahmy Pasha until the arrival of Kamal, a gifted playwright from outside Cairo, disrupts her world. His talent captivates her and a genuine love blossoms between them. Feeling displaced and threatened, Fahmy Pasha retaliates by fabricating a political charge against his rival.
