Word of Honour is an Egyptian social drama about Salem, an innocent man imprisoned for a crime committed by his brother-in-law Kamel. Kamel's illicit relationship with a young woman results in an unwanted pregnancy; the botched abortion he arranges kills her, and Salem pays the price. Behind bars for someone else's sin, Salem faces an even crueler blow when he learns his wife is critically ill. Racing against time, he is consumed by one desperate need — to reach her and tell her the truth before it is too late. The film is a powerful study of injustice, sacrifice, and the weight of a man's honor.
