Young People These Days is a poignant Egyptian drama set against the backdrop of the October War era. Hosni, editor-in-chief of a prominent magazine that champions youth causes, finds himself consumed by his work and entangled in a relationship with his secretary Suheir — unaware that she is secretly married to his own son Khaled. When the October War breaks out and Khaled is martyred, the truth comes crashing down. In a deeply moving final gesture, Khaled leaves his father a letter entrusting Suheir to his care — a devastating confrontation with the consequences of neglect and betrayal.
