The Impostor, is a 1961 Egyptian movie, directed by Niazi Mostafa, and starring Farid Shawqy, Aida Hilal, Nagwa Fouad. with a runtime of 95 minutes.
The Impostor is an Egyptian action-comedy that puts two identical twin brothers on opposite ends of the moral spectrum: one a seasoned swindler and diamond smuggler living dangerously on the wrong side of the law, the other an honest and respectable man despite his grinding poverty. When the criminal twin finds himself hunted by dangerous gangsters, he schemes to have his innocent brother committed to a psychiatric hospital to buy himself time, only to spring him out again when he sees a chance to use his double to outwit his enemies. The film is a fast-paced romp of switched identities, mistaken intentions, and escalating comic chaos, anchored by the classic premise of one man playing two very different lives.
