
Ismet Raafat

An Egyptian actress, born in Montpellier to a French mother and an Egyptian father in the diplomatic corps. She studied in Paris at the Conservatoire De Paris D'art Dramatique.
She began her artistic activity in 1954 after finishing her studies and joined the National Band, after which she moved to the Ismail Yassin Band until 1959.
She also worked as a broadcaster and program preparer on the Egyptian Radio (European-French programme) from 1958 - 1991, in addition to translating theatrical works into French and directing them for radio.
This is in addition to its basic work, which is simultaneous translation at international conferences at home and abroad
She was among the founding actors of the Television Theater in 1960
