Maktub 'ala Al-Jabeen (Written on the Forehead) is an Egyptian drama series that explores the hardships faced by a wife who struggles to conceive, drawing the wrath of her overbearing mother-in-law who pressures her son to take a second wife. While her husband is away on a work trip, her own brother attempts to assault her. She flees in distress, loses consciousness, and is later found to show signs of pregnancy — circumstances that lead her husband to doubt her fidelity and divorce her. She disappears from his life entirely, raising her daughter alone. Years later, an unexpected twist arrives when her grown daughter receives a marriage proposal from her former husband's nephew, bringing the past rushing back in dramatic fashion.
