Egyptian film actor and composer. His hobby of acting began in 1928, after joining Amin Sedqi’s troupe, where he was appointed to the chorus for eight piasters a day. However, his ancient family strongly opposed this, but he fled to Cairo and studied under Sheikh Mahmoud Sobh for four years, then another four years under Sheikh Zakaria Ahmed. In 1948, he joined the Higher Institute of Dramatic Music, and graduated in 1950. He moved between many jobs, so he worked as a management director. Hobbies at the Ministry of Social Affairs, then he was promoted to Director of Financial and Administrative Inspection and Contradictions at the Ministry of Labor, and when he could no longer stand the government job, he resigned. His relationship with art began through music. He composed the songs (Under the Tree, O Wahiba), (Unity is overcome by a stranger), and he also wrote music for the series (Fugitive from the Days), (The Victim), (The Departure), (Al-Saqiya), and composed songs for many films. He went to cinema at an old age, working in many films and television series such as (When the Evening Comes), (Customs and Traditions), and (Witness and Tears). His brother Abdul Hamid Abdul Haq Pasha was a minister in the period before 1952.
