Fatouma is an Egyptian crime drama built around layers of deception and suppressed secrets. Fatima learns from Dr. Wahid Farid that her husband left a letter confessing his intent to take his own life — but when Wahid arrives at the home of Khorshid Bey, he discovers the man is very much alive and armed. Wahid shoots and kills him. Speaking to the police, he recounts a long history with Fatima: he once saved her from the brink of suicide and later married her. A tense and emotionally complex story about obsession, survival, and the violent consequences of hidden lives.
