Overview

Men Agel Hanafi (All for Hanafy) is an Egyptian drama film that follows Mahmoud, newly released from prison, as he learns his ex-wife Fatouma divorced him while he was incarcerated and has since remarried a wealthy rice merchant. Driven by bitterness and greed, Mahmoud conspires with his associate Badawi to kidnap Fatouma's son Hanafy as leverage to extort money from her. When she can only gather 200 Egyptian pounds, Mahmoud continues to threaten and manipulate her mercilessly. The film paints a grim picture of how resentment and desperation push people into cycles of crime and exploitation, offering a tense character study of a man who leaves prison only to build a new kind of captivity around himself.
