The Snakes is an Egyptian thriller centered on Shedid, an ambitious contractor running a large Alexandria-based company alongside his brother. During excavation at a construction site, they unearth a rare Pharaonic tomb. After his inspector friend Badran confirms its immense archaeological value, greed takes hold: Shedid plots to smuggle the treasures abroad with a mysterious partner, and Badran is silenced — his death disguised as a heart attack. But criminal alliances built on greed rarely hold, and the partners soon turn on each other in a deadly spiral of betrayal. A taut thriller about antiquity, avarice, and the venomous nature of unchecked ambition.
