Overview
The Cat Is Originally a Lion is an Egyptian comedy film that flips the domestic power dynamic on its head. After Naguib marries Nawara and they relocate to Port Said, Nawara grows frustrated by her husband's insistence on ruling the household. Enlisting her friend Safia in a scheme to make Naguib jealous, she succeeds in shifting the balance of power firmly in her favor.
