The Bey Doorman, is a 1987 Egyptian movie, directed by Hassan Ibrahim, and starring Ahmed Zaki, Safia ElEmary, Fouad Al-Mohandes. with a runtime of 119 minutes.
Al-Bey Al-Bawwab is an Egyptian social comedy following Abdel Samea, a man who migrates to the city with his wife and children in search of work, landing his first job as a building doorman. His natural wit and sharp eye for opportunity, however, refuse to keep him in that humble role for long. Leveraging his position and street smarts, he gradually reinvents himself as a successful real estate broker, accumulating considerable wealth along the way. The film is a witty portrait of social mobility and ambition, capturing the humor and contradictions of Egyptian working-class life with a sharp comedic touch.
