Souad Nasr

Egyptian actress. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1975. At the beginning of her artistic career, she participated in several films, including (Apartment Downtown) in 1975. Her roles varied between cinema and television, as she has a rich credit in television works, including the series (The Quail and the Autumn) in 1978 and (O Love, Don’t Abandon Me) in the same year. She participated in the film by the great director Youssef Chahine (An Egyptian Story) in 1982, and in the same year she participated in the films (The Deadly Jealousy) and (The Blood Spider). She played the role of Najwa the dancer in the movie (The Judge’s House) in 1984, and the following year she participated in the movie (Here is Cairo). She excelled in theater after participating in the play (Al-Hamji) by artist Mohamed Sobhi in 1985, and after that she participated in the series (The Wanis Family).
. She worked again with director Youssef Chahine in the film (Alexandria New York) in 2004, and then she participated in the film (Life is Extremely Pleasant) in 2005. She had liposuction, but as a result of an anesthesia overdose, she fell into a coma for a year, after which she died on January 5, 2007, leaving behind an inheritance of artistic works amounting to 106 works.
