Born in Slim Square, into a family whose members worked in politics
He is one of those who founded the renaissance of modern Egyptian theater. He worked on the Ramses Theater. He traveled to Europe and studied acting. He refused to work in cinema for a long time until his friends Ahmed Badrakhan and Talaat Harb convinced him to do so.
His famous plays include “The Two Stray Boys” and “Only Five.”
