An Egyptian actor who graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. He is the nephew of the late artist Fayez Halawa. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications engineering in 1969. He also obtained a diploma from the Leonardo da Vinci Institute in Cairo in decoration, and a bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in acting and directing from the Academy of Arts in Cairo in 1973. He did not stop there, but rather obtained a postgraduate diploma from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in directing in 1990, and obtained a doctorate in philosophy of arts from the University of Dramatic Arts. And cinema in Bucharest, Romania, and its subject was (Techniques of Directing Comedy in Contemporary Egyptian Theater) in 1994. He teaches theater at the College of Arts, where he began his activity in theater. The artist, Dr. Ahmed Halawa, has served in several positions, including a teaching assistant in the Department of Acting and Directing at the Academy of Arts at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, and a theater specialist in mass culture at the Ministry of Culture. He taught theater at the faculties of specific education, in addition to his work as a distinguished director in the Strong Theater and artistic supervisor for the Vanguard Theater. He contributed to establishing the Department of Theater Sciences at the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, as a professor in the Department of Acting and Directing, where he directed and wrote many plays that represented Egypt in international and local festivals and won many artistic awards. He participated in many artistic works, including: Tears in Shameless Eyes series 1980, Raafat Al-Hagan series, Part 2, 1990, Raafat Al-Hagan series, Part 3, 1992, The Thief and the Book series, 2010, Cairo People series, 2010.
