Overview

Gedo Nahnooh is an Egyptian comedy film built on an irresistible premise: a grandfather who dies and leaves his grandchildren not an inheritance, but a riddle. His will instructs them to locate a buried treasure — and when they investigate, they discover it is hidden inside a psychiatric hospital. Undeterred, the group of young men devise a plan to infiltrate the institution in search of their fortune, triggering a cascade of comedic situations as they navigate a world where the boundaries between sanity and madness grow increasingly blurry. A fast-paced comedy of errors, the film mines its absurd setting for both laughs and gentle social commentary on how society draws lines between the ordinary and the eccentric.
