On the Sidewalk is an Egyptian drama series directed by Jalal Al-Sharqawi, following the story of Safia, a woman who travels to Kuwait to earn money and build a marital home for herself and her husband Abdel Sabour. Upon returning, she discovers he has remarried, having stolen her savings and demolished their home to build one for his new wife, aided by a corrupt currency trader. Left with nothing, Safia is forced to live on the pavement outside her former home as she fights to reclaim what is rightfully hers.
