Overview

Da'wa lil-Hayah (A Call to Life) is an Arabic social drama that puts the pressures of early married life under a compassionate lens. Young engineer Mohsen and his wife Hanan are trying to build a stable future, agreeing to delay having children until they have settled financially. Meanwhile, Mohsen endures the daily grind of an overbearing and hypocritical boss. When Hanan reveals she is pregnant, anxiety and desperation overtake him. But life has its own timing — his troublesome manager is suddenly transferred, and Mohsen receives an invitation to compete in a major professional competition. What began as a story of mounting pressure becomes a tentative call to embrace what life offers, even when unplanned.
