Overview

Thaman Al-Hob (The Price of Love) is a classic Egyptian drama film centered on inheritance, deception, and family greed. Alawi Bey, having squandered his own fortune, seizes the estate of his late brother without knowing the brother had secretly married Souad after his first wife's death. Souad refuses to surrender her rights and takes the matter to court, filing a lawsuit to reclaim the stolen inheritance. Alawi, unwilling to lose his grip on the wealth, schemes to have his son Salah marry Souad as a way to settle the dispute in his favor. Souad, however, plays her own hand — she assumes the identity of Enayat, fiancée to a lawyer, in a calculated deception that sets the entire conflict spinning toward an inevitable reckoning between greed and justice.
