Cat on Fire is an Egyptian drama series that unfolds around a family thrown into crisis when contractor Mahmoud Abdel Majeed is diagnosed with cancer — a truth his children choose to hide from him. The family is divided between two very different sons: Mukhtar, the eldest, whose weak personality makes him easy to manipulate, and Amin, the younger son who wants nothing to do with his father's wealth and lives apart with his ambitious wife Gigi. Gigi's schemes to secure ownership of the factory collide with Amin's deep-seated resentment — he blames her for the suicide of his gay friend — turning the family home into a pressure cooker of unspoken grief, guilt, and competing loyalties.
