May He Rest in Peace is an Egyptian thriller driven by greed and cold calculation. Ayoub, covetous of the wealthy Al-Zafarani's fortune, agrees to marry his daughter Salwa — despite her existing engagement to her colleague Ahmed. Struggling financially and seeing no other way out, Salwa and Ahmed make a dark pact: she will go through with the marriage to the wealthy shopkeeper, provided he first signs over half his wealth to her. What follows is a calculated conspiracy with murder as its endpoint. The film is a chilling portrait of how desperation and greed can corrupt ordinary people into planning the unthinkable.
