Why O pyramid, is a 1993 Egyptian movie, directed by Omar Abdel Aziz, and starring Farid Shawqy, Mervat Amin, Salah El-Saadany. with a runtime of 110 minutes.
"Why O Pyramid" is an Egyptian satirical comedy that skewers greed and foreign ambition through a farcical plot set in the shadow of Giza. Radwan returns from America armed with a persuasive pitch for his influential father: demolish the housing in the pyramid district and replace it with a grand pharaonic-themed city. The renovation project, however, is merely a facade — behind it lies an agreement with American investors whose real goal is oil exploration and, ultimately, the destruction of the pyramid itself. A biting comedy that wraps its political commentary in broad farce and very Egyptian humor.
