Concerto in Darb Saada, is a 1998 Egyptian movie, directed by Asmaa El Bakry, and starring Salah El-Saadany, Salwa Khattab, Naglaa Fathy. with a runtime of 90 minutes.
Concerto in Darb Saada is an Egyptian romantic drama about a quiet life disrupted by beauty. Azoz works as an employee at the Cairo Opera House, yet classical music has never moved him — until a violinist freshly returned from international tours arrives and he is assigned to accompany her through her appointments in the city. As he shadows her across Cairo, her music begins to seep into him, awakening a sensitivity and a restlessness he has never allowed himself before. Simultaneously, his boredom with his marriage deepens into something harder to ignore. The film is a tender and melancholy meditation on the way art can reopen a person to the possibility of feeling, and on the danger of discovering — too late, or perhaps just in time — what one has been missing.
