Hassan Kamy

An Egyptian actor and opera singer, born in 1936. His origins belong to the Muhammad Ali family. He studied in Jesuit schools, then obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Cairo University, and studied at the Conservatory, in addition to postgraduate studies from Italy.
He began his working life at the Cairo Opera House in 1963, and in addition to his work at the opera, he worked as a reservation employee at a tourist company, an airline terminal manager at Cairo Airport, a director and representative of Tunisian Airlines, and a general agent for American Airlines, Thai Airways, and Scandinavian Airlines. He played the title role in the opera Aida on opera stages in the Soviet Union in 1974, making him the first Egyptian to star in the opera Aida. He participated in 270 operas over the course of his career.
He was discovered for the theater by Muhammad Nouh to work in the plays (Inqilab), (Dalaa Al-Hawanem) and (No blame, Moneim).
He worked on television in the series: (You and Me and Baba in Al-Mishmish), (The Girls), and (Qashtamar). And in cinema through the films (Samaa Hasa, Ya Pudding Ya, Zaki Shan). Years ago, he took over the position of director of the opera.
