Overview

Sobian Al-Mo'allem (Boys of the Master) is an Egyptian social comedy centered on three young apprentices working under Usta Farag, a seasoned mechanic. Abbas is determined to earn enough to marry Batta, but his rival Hassouna stands in his way. Ali quietly loves Usta Farag's daughter Ezza and boldly asks for her hand, only to be expelled from the workshop. Hamada, meanwhile, befriends a troubled young woman caught in addiction. Desperate to fund his marriage, Abbas secretly tries to sell one of the workshop's cars, which gets him fired and leads him into the clutches of a car-theft ring. The film blends warm comedy with sharp social observation about youth, ambition, and the difficulties of working-class life in Egypt.
