Overview

Al-Untha is an Egyptian romantic drama starring Laila Elwi as Dalal, a beautiful woman torn between genuine love and the pressures of pursuit. Deeply in love with Salem (Farouk El-Fishawy), she is constantly hounded by the powerful businessman Fikry (Salah Zulfikar), who demands she marry him. When Salem refuses her proposal, Dalal escapes by marrying his brother Atwa (Hussein Fahmy) — only for the arrangement to unravel dramatically when Atwa discovers his brother and wife's betrayal and sets out for revenge. Fleeing the fallout, Dalal seeks refuge with Fikry in a final act that brings the film's tangled web of love, jealousy, and betrayal to a charged conclusion.
