Womens' Tailor, is a 1969 Egyptian movie, directed by Atef Salem, and starring Shadia, Duraid Lahham. Nehad Qalei.
Womens' Tailor is an Arabic social comedy centred on Saber Effendi, a traditional men's tailor whose stubborn refusal to modernise his craft leaves his shop in a state of chronic decline. When his wife Huda — who works for a Syrian fashion magazine — suggests he reinvent himself as a ladies' tailor, Saber reluctantly embarks on a plan to overhaul his entire professional identity. The transition proves anything but smooth, generating a string of comic situations as the old-fashioned craftsman fumbles his way through the world of women's fashion. The series uses Saber's predicament as a gentle satire on the tension between tradition and adaptation in Arab working life.
