Wake Up is a classic Egyptian comedy inspired by the hugely popular 1972 television series, reuniting nearly the same cast in a fresh storyline. Two friends find themselves entangled in a romantic triangle when one — a hotel employee — develops feelings for the hotel's owner, only to discover she has fallen for his friend, a painter who has long resided in the same modest establishment. Jealousy and wounded pride drive the pair into a series of comic misunderstandings that never lose their warmth. A nostalgic crowd-pleaser built on the chemistry of its returning ensemble.
