Khamsa Bab is an Egyptian social drama set in the narrow streets of old Cairo's red-light district. Constable Mansour is framed for drug possession by the scheming pimp Abbas and his accomplice Taraji, costing him his job and his honor. As time passes, Mansour grows closer to Taraji, whose desperate circumstances — including her son's illness and her husband's death — have pushed her toward a life she never chose. Assuming a new identity to stay near her, Mansour tries to protect what little remains of their dignity, even as Abbas kidnaps her son to force her back. A raw and emotionally charged drama about corruption, poverty, and the will to survive.
