Mostafa Hassan

An Egyptian photographer, director, author, and producer, born in 1908. He began his artistic career as a cinematographer, where he joined the first Egyptian cinema delegation to study cinema arts in Paris in 1934. He then joined work at Studio Misr. While working at Studio Misr, he gained great experience by photographing for the Misr Cinema newspaper, of which he was the first photographer for a long time. He worked as director of photography for more than 125 films in the period from 1936 to 1968, the most prominent of which is (Qasr Al-Shouq, Ismail Yassin in Prison, Bewilderment and Youth). He also had the experience of directing the film (Dakhla Night) in 1950, which he also wrote, while one of his most prominent works as a producer was (Love and Torment). He passed away in 1968.
