Bahia is an Egyptian drama that depicts the brutal struggle of rural peasants against the iron grip of feudalism. A powerful feudal lord, aided by criminal henchmen, orchestrates the burning of farmland and crops to cripple smallholders financially until they default on their debts. When Bahia's father dares to confront him, he is killed, and the lord turns his predatory attention to Bahia herself. In a tense moment of crisis, Yassin rises to her defense and saves her from the feudal lord's assault. The film stands as a powerful portrayal of class oppression and the courage of ordinary people fighting for dignity and survival in Egypt's countryside.
