Ahmad Saleh

An Egyptian writer, director, and film critic, he began his life as a prominent and influential journalist in the field of artistic journalism, which he has practiced since he was a third-year college student. In 1971, he obtained postgraduate studies from the Higher Institute of Cinema, Department of Scripting and Directing. He studied drama in the liberal department at the American University, despite obtaining a law degree in 1958. He began his working life in 1966 as a program preparer and writer for radio dramas. Then he went to cinema and wrote his first work, the screenplay for the film “We Do Not Plant Thorns,” the story of Youssef Al-Sibai. He presented scenarios inspired by novels and stories by writers including Musa Sabry in films including “Coward and Love,” and “Her Majesty’s Tears,”
