Al Makhtufa is an Egyptian drama thriller that ignites when a collision between taxi driver Hussein and the car of Nevin, daughter of millionaire Ratib Barakat, sets off a chain of events neither could anticipate. Though Barakat initially agrees to compensate Hussein for his wrecked taxi, he reverses course upon learning that Hussein struck his daughter, leaving the driver destitute. When Hussein's mother dies and his desperation peaks, he makes a fateful decision — to kidnap Nevin and take her to an abandoned location. A tense film about class conflict, revenge, and how quickly the powerless can snap when pushed to the edge.
