Ala Genb Ya Osta (Please, Here, Driver!) is a 2007–2008 Egyptian social comedy that puts the camera inside a Cairo taxi to capture the beating pulse of everyday city life. A kind-hearted cab driver becomes the unlikely witness to the absurdities, contradictions, and humanity of Egyptian society as he picks up passengers from every walk of life — each encounter a comic vignette that reflects the spirit of the Egyptian street.
