Overview
A Generous Gesture is a breezy Egyptian comedy following Salmawi and Mima, two young aspiring actors whose dream of enrolling in acting school is immediately thwarted by impossible entrance exams. Refusing to give up, they try every alternative route into show business—only for bad luck to dog their every step, repeatedly landing them in the local police station. Yet their determination never wavers as they push toward their dream at any cost. A cheerful, good-humored film about ambition, perseverance, and the comedy of failure on the road to stardom.
