Overview
Love in the Fridge is an Egyptian comedy sci-fi film that centers on Mahdi, a thoroughly ordinary man ground down by the everyday pressures of low wages, inflation, and a society that seems to offer no way forward. When Mahdi stumbles upon a television segment describing a method to cryogenically freeze a human being and revive them years later, an absurd but deeply relatable plan takes hold: he will freeze himself and wake up after the year 2000, when life is surely going to be better.
