Aaela Zeze is an Egyptian comedy series set in the early 1960s, seen through the eyes of five-year-old Zizi and her endearing middle-class family. The household is populated with dreamers: Sabawy, the inventive engineer obsessed with building a machine that spins raw cotton directly into fabric; Sami, the university student hopelessly smitten with the girl next door; and Sanaa, who is convinced her destiny lies in television stardom.
