An Egyptian musician and actor, he was born in Alexandria in 1937. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law in 1960. He participated in starring in several films, including (The Zizi Family, Without a Date) before devoting himself full time to composing. Muhammad Sultan composed many melodies for the songs of the artist Fayza Ahmed, who was his wife. Among his most important melodies are the songs (Gharib Ya Zaman) and (A Message to a Woman). In addition, he participated in the soundtracks of a number of cinematic films, including (The Dancer and the Politician) and (Samara Al-Amir).
