An ancient artist, he is considered one of the most prominent Egyptian artists who embodied the roles of evil alongside (Tawfiq Al-Daqen) and (Mahmoud Al-Meligy).
He is one of the actors who lived through the first generation of cinema. His actual debut was in the movie (My Sister Is a Woman) in 1950, while his most prominent work was (Love in the Dungeon) in 1983.
He died on September 12, 1990, at the age of 65.
