Confused Souls is an Egyptian anthology film presenting three distinct short stories united by irony and the unexpected. In the first, a fugitive from the law boards a crowded bus and attempts to blend in among ordinary passengers. In the second, a highway bandit who stops a doctor on a remote road soon discovers that his own daughter is gravely ill — placing him in a moral position he never anticipated. In the third, a young woman feigns mental illness with calculated precision in order to seduce and entrap a psychiatrist. Together, the three tales form a wry, perceptive portrait of human nature at its most contradictory.
