Tabikh Al-Malaika is an Egyptian social comedy stage production inspired by the French novel by Aller Houson of the same title. The plot follows three prisoners who manage to break out of jail, only to find that freedom comes with its own complicated price. As they attempt to reintegrate into ordinary life, a cascade of consequences and comic situations awaits them. The play draws its humor from the gap between the dream of escape and the messy reality of what lies on the other side of the prison walls.
