Overview
My Wife Is a Gang Boss is an Egyptian comedy film built around the classic premise of a henpecked husband who seizes on his domineering wife's absence to reclaim some freedom. With her out of the house, he begins frequenting cabarets and enjoying the company of friends — a short-lived liberation complicated by the arrival of his wife's nephew, who has been tasked with keeping a watchful eye on his every move. The film generates its humour from the cat-and-mouse dynamic between the husband and his unsolicited chaperone, delivering a lighthearted look at the absurdities of domestic power dynamics.
