Everybody Wants Love is an Egyptian romantic comedy that follows Ahmed, a young man whose routine visit to his friend Abdelssalam in Fayoum takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Layla and falls instantly in love. Eager and excited, Ahmed confides in his friend, only to be cautioned: Layla lives with her cousin Masoud, a married man who is scheming to take her as a second wife. Ahmed must now navigate his growing feelings against a tangle of social obstacles and a rival who holds the power of family tradition over Layla — a warm, light-hearted look at the complications love stirs up in small-town Egyptian life.
